Description: Support group for family and friends of sexual minorities

Mtgs: Meets each SECOND Tuesday, 7:00 p.m., at the First Congregational Church (in Library).

Children’s Home Society

Description: Family support, free family events, parenting education classes, support groups, sex abuse counseling for children, counseling for sexual minority families, and space for sexual minority events and meetings.

 

Love Makes a Family

Description:  A support, advocacy, and public education organization for sexual minority families. LMF has Family support get-togethers every  third Monday. Parents meet; teen group is called COLAGE (Children of Lesbians and Gays Everywhere) and meets in a separate room; free child care is provided for younger children. All groups get together for a meal, which is also provided at no cost (donations accepted, but not required).

Oak Bridge Youth Shelter

Contact: Program Supervisor, Washington Services with Youth, Janus Youth Programs.

Description:  Oak Bridge Youth Shelter is the first crisis intervention program of its kind in Clark County to serve homeless and runaway youth.  Oak Bridge delivers 24 hour crisis intervention services and emergency shelter for youths ages 10-17.  The primary goal of Oak Bridge is to reunite youth with their families.  Oak Bridge also offers information and referral services.
